3 Days Bunyonyi – Kisoro Trek

The 3 Days Bunyonyi – Kisoro trek comes in a few different versions. It’s a 3-day hike starting on day 1 from Lake Bunyonyi and spending the first night on a remote but beautiful island on lake Bunyonyi. The region of Lake Bunyonyi is beautiful in nature and you will experience regional culture. This tour is based on camping, using tents at our local family partners.

The second day is full day of trekking toward lake Kayumbu in Kisoro for an overnight at Kayumbu church. This day includes picnic lunch, hiking through Echuya forest, a local dinner, campfire and more.

The third day starts with a local breakfast followed up by traditional dances in Kayumbu. The day continues by trekking from lake Kayumbu to Kisoro town for lunch with a good food station ending the trek. In Kisoro you will have the opportunity to use Wi-Fi again.

Optional you can choose to trek from lake Kayumbu to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and add volcano climbing, gorilla tracking, golden monkey tracking and/or a Batwa trail to your tour. Adding gorilla tracking to the third day will this make this a once in a lifetime experience, but the other options will add a cool experience to your trek as well. With this option we will offer a picnic lunch as there is no hotel facility on the way to offer restaurant meals. For this case our duty is to get you to any hotel of your wishes before it is dark in Mgahinga.
